Relaxation

Before the big day you can start to feel all the stress from everything building up. Sometimes you need to take a step back and remember that this is your day and it is going to be amazing, so you are allowed to take a break. Keep reading to see some ideas on how to take a mental, and sometimes physical, vacation from wedding planning.

Meditate

This may not be for everyone, but it is always great to sit back and listen to some calming music. You don’t even need to think, just clear your head and focus on your breathing. You can do this even for a couple minutes when you are going to bed at night. If you want to increase your relaxation you can even have soothing scents in the background, like lavender or jasmine.

Fiance Time

Remember why all this effort is going into planning your wedding. Take some time to just hang out with your fiancé, you don’t even have to go anywhere, just sit in front of the TV and cuddle on the couch. Another fun activity is going for a hike out somewhere open, fresh air is always a good plan.

Write it Down

When you start feeling like you have so much on your mind, feel free to put it on paper. You can even have a journal or notebook dedicated to your wedding anxiety writings. Don’t forget, you are allowed to feel stressed when planning. Know that it happens to everyone and the best way to cope is to sometimes find a simple solution like writing it down or just stepping away.

Spa Day

Take a day with your friends, fiancé, or family to have an amazing day at the spa. Get a massage, facial, and just have a great time working the stress from your mind and body. Even just sitting in a hot bath with music and a candle can be relaxing if you can’t go to a spa. Another alternative is getting a manicure and/or pedicure done with your bridesmaids.
